What about buying 1oz gold bars through Costco, right at the warehouse? No thievery there, unless the purchaser is followed out to his/her car and robbed! But, the online purchases are delivered by — yes, FedEx, and tracked through one's Costco account. I believe Costco offers some sort of protection to guard against tampering with the goods before they reach the customer.

I think the probability of a "blockade" being successful are minimal and might actually result in the sinking of all ships above water in the blockade - and then let it be a war underwater I reckon - but a blockade is destined to fail seems evident - and pay your tolls for Christ's sake - cause passage is not free.
