Yep, just more bloviating. More intellectual vomit. More effluvium to move markets. Hey, how about the 30-year? Over 5%! Hey, how about the 20-year? The interest alone on the national debt is more than the GDP of many countries. But hey, we’ve sort of got a deal. Or a memorandum. Or something. Maybe???
I was tired after three years of the Biden administration negotiating with itself and its allies, and completely ignoring the Russian demands that they mentioned every opportunity. Now we get the same thing with the Trump administration in Iran. First time as tragedy. Second time as farce. Iran says the first thing they need before they even start negotiating is the blockade removed. They also say that their nuclear materials are not even up for negotiation. Trump then says they have a deal, and they won't remove the blockade and Iran is going to commit to giving up their nuclear materials. And it turns out they called everyone but Iran. The Strait is going to be closed for all of 2026, 2027, and indefinitely until either a) the affected countries reroute all trade around it, b) we run out of oil and demand destroy the shortage, c) the economy collapses and we don't need to buy the missing oil or d) likely all of a, b, and c. Meanwhile, we get this market manipulating, Lucy holding the football unseriousness every couple of weeks until we hit tank bottoms globally. Marge, change the channel.
Iran really should use the media to ask why Israel and the US can have nukes, but they can't? After all, they were attacked by two nuclear armed countries, ostensibly to prevent a non nuclear armed country from becoming one, specifically to protect themselves against that very threat. I'd be repeating back daily, "we can't allow Israel to have a nuclear weapon" every time Israel mentions the same about Iran. Make the rhyme part of the conversation.
What makes the interim hard to predict is that the only good faith actor is Iran. Had Trump not blown up Obama’s deal, we would not be here today
Trump does not dictate this war, Israel does. Trump would love nothing more than to continue bullying the rest of the western hemisphere by murdering fishermen while the CIA wonders if it was ever needed to begin with
While we know what Iran wants, I don't think we actually know what Israel wants, which is why escalation is where everything converges as whatever they may want, is genocidal for certain
trump has Plan B at the ready: "Extract" Raul Castro, declare regime-change, strut about claiming another "win ", then move onto Greenland later, all the while hoping the public and the MSM forget about the abysmal debâcle that was Bibi's war, joined by trump, in Iran.
Considering the ammo levels and all the resources they would need to move to take Cuba, I don't see the US leaving Israel exposed to retaliation
While starving Cuba isn’t making the US any friends, its also not making it any new enemies of note, taking Greenland would turn the EU fully against the US
For instance - where I live, Google currently have boats “fixing” a cable on the coast. It’s the transatlantic cable (lain in the 2020) and it runs right next to other, older transatlantic cables. They’ve been there 2weeks “repairing” (which is utter nonsense).
Open AI has just been given the go-ahead to serve the US military with spending off the charts, in comparison. And its greatest strength: one-day-vulnerabilities.

A big delegation to China.
Throttling the system to slow it down, to offer access - likely both.

This twin news reporting…it’s almost as if one of two reports across the board is about to go – the others toast. Almost like America is about to, or is at least is preparing to, annex itself, just incase.
Has China won the quantum race, or is it about to?
Has Iran instead – that uranium enrichment not actually the biggest problem in them there mountains.
It would sure piss-off all Israeli interests, quite a lot.
THE NEW ECONOMICS OF TECHNOCRACY: YOU WILL OWN NOTHING
is recent enough to include the early stages of the current Hormuz operation aka Iranian conflict. The book describes what looks like a planned operation to implement all the elements of Technocracy that were laid out in 1937 in a course created at Columbia university. The roll-out began decades ago. A key aim of Technocracy is to replace capitalism and debt-based currency with a new economic system.
Wood argues that the runaway fiat debt levels since 1971 are a controlled demolition of the system. His book makes the Hormuz operation look like another part of that process.
As President Roosevelt said "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."
Problem is, world oil inventories are draining rapidly. When we hit the wall, probably around the middle of June, prices go vertical. Maybe something will happen then.
Yes, Trump has broken the Petrodollar, international standing, his own economy, and the economies of the rest of the world (coming soon to a supermarket & petrol pump near you). He just does not understand it yet. This is the guiding point for possible future action. A round 3 is sadly highly likely 🫣🤬
Wish that broken Petrodollar would occur sooner rather than later. Just really not feeling the rapacious, a-moral lot running things under the current system.
Perhaps if we are no longer an empire our better nature can come to the fore. Maybe.

Yeah, the interest alone is greater than the GDP's of ~170 countries. Exceptional debt for an exceptional country.
oh... there's another idea... "MAGA".
Hold my beer.

I'd rephrase that as:
""First time was a tragedy. Second time it's a pattern.""
b == c btw
Nice of you to spot my subtle hint 😉 about Lucy.
Spot on for the rest!

We've seen this sort of thing before

Bread and circus. Less bread means more circus.
😂 I doubt that's how it works 😉

Could work.
Considering the ammo levels and all the resources they would need to move to take Cuba, I don't see the US leaving Israel exposed to retaliation
While starving Cuba isn’t making the US any friends, its also not making it any new enemies of note, taking Greenland would turn the EU fully against the US
which would ACTUALLY be good for the EU. So they can pivot back to Russia (and China).
Trust a politician to do the right thing in the end. After they tried all the wrong ones of course.
Option 2 happens 1st. Then the blue and white flag state gets unlivable with some damage to the GCC states or even a new leader in 1 or 2 of them.
Option # 3 happens next with the GCC states trading and cooperating with one another.
Then trump can try to convince us of #1.
Thanks, No1. Excellent commentary.
Kayfabe....since convid through the interminable Russo/Ukraine kubuki to this USrael/Iran stinking turd of a 'war', all pisspoor Kayfabe!
I don’t know…
I feel something very ominous is about to happen.

Good recommendation. I agree with the hypothesis. Patrick Woods previous books Technocracy and Technocracy rising have proved very prescient too.

If the cra$h was deep enough maybe someone (everyone?) would have to declare bankruptcy & *default* on some borrowed money/currency?

Good one! I I believe his thesis is correct. I was 19 when the Arab oil embargo took effect. Stagflation had a real effect on me.

Perhaps if we are no longer an empire our better nature can come to the fore. Maybe.
The Roman empire fell when the Persians captured the last emperor in battle and kept him like a trophy.
The Roman coinage lost trust and debased nearly completely within eight years after that.
Martin Armstrong has a chart over that somewhere.
But that was back when emperors actually still fought at the head of their armies.
