I had to laugh at the ridiculousness of the statement "chaos benefits the stronger player." I suppose this idea could be asserted with the thought that the stronger player has more options at hand for dealing with the unexpected.

But I remembered something from my chess-playing days, which was that when a player finds himself in a game where all the forcing moves can be clearly calculated to lead to an eventual advantage for his opponent, it is to his benefit to "complicate" the position--playing a move where the eventual outcomes cannot be clearly seen. In other words, introducing chaos. It may still not be good for him, but it creates more opportunities for his opponent to go wrong. Of course, HE could go wrong, too, but he's already in a disadvantageous position, and so has less to lose.

Chaos is by definition unpredictable in its outcomes. It doesn't predictably favor either side in a conflict. But if you're already the strongest player, you prefer predicable outcomes because they favor you. Hence chaos is a roll of the dice that could bring unintended negative consequences.

Of course that obvious logic may not apply to The World's Greatest Military and its Secretary of War. They're exceptional.

In chess, oftentimes, the best offense is an unassailable defense and simply waiting for one's opponent to make a mistake. So it is in life.

is there any update on Bab el-Mandeb? Is it still closed (or open to paying customers, etc.)?

No1's avatar

Not that I know of. Houthis are throwing bombs at Israel kart I checked, but the red sea should be open for business. For now..

that's what I thought too, thanks! Enjoy the vacation!

"$9.2 trillion in Treasuries maturing. Interest payments cresting $1 trillion per year."

Ugh, while everyone was ranting & raving at their favorite psyop/propaganda & busy redefining the noise in their heads, U$T rates are about to cross 5% (4.9 give or take a point)...

That's in an environment where the global appetite for the U$T/U$D regime is still strong 👍

How much do "interest payments" add up to @ 5%? 7%? 10%?

Keep in mind that the tax receipts for 2025 was $5.23 trillion to $5.26 trillion; At what point does the U$T/U$D Ponzi artifice implode?

I can foresee 50% expenditures becoming *real* reality for bond coupons in the near future (2027-2028?), given current *scenarios*, unless something *drastically* changes 🔥

Note: Since the generational arsonists in the Uniparty have already spent most of the SSI/Medicare "reserves", they have to borrow to write checks for that, too, along with $1.5 trillion (expected) in war mongering funds...

"The Fed injecting $74.6 billion in emergency liquidity on New Year’s Eve because “ample reserves” apparently means 'please God let this hold until January'."

"Emergency" liquidity is now the "norm", soon to be enhanced with "Emergency Powers", if not already...

"One in five Russell 3000 companies unable to service their debt. $846 trillion in OTC derivatives priced on a world that stays roughly stable."

And these are still the "good" times 😉

"The Strait of Hormuz was not in the model."

Interesting to note that right after I mentioned USrael's need to *stop* BRI logistical support they blew up the rail tracks, bridges & hit the ports again...

This cease fire feint is probably an attempt to clear the maritime traffic held hostage in the Gulf, now let's see how many ships make it through the Strait before the IRGC gets an itchy trigger finger 👀

You know this .mil action is *far* from over, by a long shot...

If Iran stands the Banksters & Uniparty are going to achieve impact velocity where no amount of crash dummies will suffice to spare the Crony Capitalist Casino from *massive* dislocations & fallout, which we're already seeing & the wall hasn't been hit, yet, but it's approaching unless the *reset* happens.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions as I scan-read that thesis - which must have required blinders to write. The author's ignorance of the societal state of DaUS was front and center - DaUS doesn't just need treasuries buyers - it needs AMERICANS!

Replacing dying Boomers with street crapping immigrants won't cut it - in fact, it's accelerating the descent. Add to that, the increasing awareness of Zionist parasite infestation has led to a perfect storm...... as Karen Kwiatkowski so eloquently expressed: "Virtually every person I know, from my leftist comrades and colleagues to my MAGA high school classmates, is saying the same thing: they’re tired of Israel’s shit."

AMEN.

Of course I went and checked this l-o-o-n-g text ... My first thought, having waded through the early 'chapters', was: if the USA has such strategic geniuses of such depth of thought and planning: where are they? There surely ought to have been some strategic papers floating around, or some academic debate? Or did the Pentagon sit on them?

(Sorry, I didn't manage to keep reading to the end (there's only so much highfalutin' waffle one can take) so I dunno if he provided links.)

However, reading No1's comments, one quote immediately came to my mind: "Never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake" - said Napoleon Bonaparte, someone who actually did understand a thing or two regarding strategy ...

Yeah, I read through it because Sam send it to me. I first summarised it, but couldn't believe the result... So I had to read it... And of course, pen my thoughts 😉

An 8,000 word geopolitical essay? That's the true Gospel equivalent of Matthew, Mark, Luke and Don all rolled into one! Take it to the bank right away. And that it claims that the USA has China on the ropes? That's Moses bringing the tablets down from the mount!

King James version, your mileage may differ.

The usual self explanatory thesys from an entitled neofascist (oops neo con, sorry), probably belongings to the US intelligence corral, trying to reassure masses, allies and enemies that they're still standing, just like an 80y/o dude in front of a young babe.

Aside of showing poor knowledge of the economic and financial dynamics of China, where housing market is entirely ruled by CCP, it needs to assume that CNH is a competitor for USD, which is a deflection from the real point, then even question the allegiance of some european nation to NATO, hilarious and absurd at the same time, as if having 300 nuclear warheads at home really makes a case for a debate. When a 8000 word meatloaf like this appears, then you know how f..cked up they are. Excusatio non petita, would have said the romans.

Chaos vs order = Fear vs Love.

Its simply a question of destination.

There is no chaos but fear.

Love brings peace, brings order, brings purpose.

Love instantly drives away fear.

You are greatly loved. Never forget.

If old: speak WITH the young.

"China has no independent judiciary. True. Therefore the RMB is structurally untrustworthy. Also true. Therefore de-dollarisation is just narrative."

That comment is truly startling in it's mendacity. It makes a broad claim without context, declares it a fact which is supposed to be proof that China's currency is untrustworthy. And then it leaps from that to calling it proof de-dollarization isn't happening. Toxic.

For the record, China has a different judicial system, just like they have a different form of government. Different does not mean worse. Neither the Chinese nor the western judicial systems are natural law. They are societal constructs and inseparable from the society's culture. What matters here is, do the people consent to abide by the laws that are made? If so, then it matters not what cultural issues inform the laws.

You don't spit on the sidewalk in Singapore. The city's 6 million citizens seem fine with that. Likewise, the Chinese people are consenting to abide by the judicial system they have.

Speaking of the western judiciary, how independent is it, really? The judges are paid by the government. They're promoted by the government. The government has an entire ministry at their disposal. And the individual who runs the system is appointed by the President. Yet, even with those obvious conflicts of interest, we're to believe that the judicial system isn't tilted in favor of the government?

8000 word essays to say something that could be written in 200 words does not convince me that it is truthful or correct it convinces me that the author has been paid a tidy sum to create bullshit propaganda and given the subject and the available facts we the people do already quite easily work out for ourselves every day what is true what is fake and what needs clarification with further information.

Politicians and the media take us for fools , we are not fooled , we feel powerless to stop this unnecessary war and we feel powerless to stop those same politicians betting on the stock market with inside knowledge of what trump is going to say each day because what he says each day affects the price of oil and gas and the other things held up in Hormuz .

Trump makes an announcement , people who have the insider knowledge of what he is going to say buy shares at a lower price knowing in advance that those shares are going to go up massively in value because of his announcement , that is illegal , punishable with imprisonment but its our politicians who are actually doing this.We dont need 8000 word bullshit propaganda essays to work that out.

The insanity of it all that a once relatively democratic country, built albeit on genocide and slavery, is allowing "a compromised malignant narcissist and sadistic psychopath" (Jeffrey Sachs' definition of Agent Orange) to burn the house down and perhaps the entire planet because he was ensnared by the Mossad Epstein Wexner Rothschild Satanic pedovore demons that own Rancho Goyim, USSA and its Pentacon war machine. And some imagine that the Epstein slash Gates Plandemic and currently "climate change" shamanism is the biggest problem facing the modern naked ape. Will Orange Adolf attack Iran with nuclear weapons to keep those depraved and evil kiddy porn clips from going ballistic on the internet?
